Return of the Guardian

Silas led Alexis through his castle and into a secret room underneath the dungeons, only several torches were giving life into the almost empty room. On top of a pedestal in the back of the room sat a small chest with ice symbols covering it. The earth king sat behind it and asked "have you heard about the great battle of Warfang twenty years ago?"
"I have, that was when Malefor attacked it with his army. I heard they had almost won because of…"
"A golem, an earth golem to be exact." Silas interrupted. "Twenty years ago Malefor sent his son Demetrius to find me, for years before that I made an agreement with him to assist each other in achieving our goals. When he found me he only requested one thing, the power to control the creature I had obtained, the earth golem.
"He made some adjustments to the golem, of course, by fusing it with black crystals, allowing it to breathe fire as well. I am disappointed that it did not complete its task, but it had served its use to the dark master, which was good enough for me. But now Demetrius has returned the favor by giving me this." Silas finished while opening the chest for Alexis to see.
The curious dragoness walked up and peeked into the chest to see a blue crystal sitting inside. She picked it up and examined it before asking "… a crystal?"
"Not just any crystal! This crystal contains the soul of a very powerful creature, the ice golem! And I give it to you to use as you wish." He told her.
"Me? Why me?"
"It is a powerful creature, but it is complicated as well. The earth golem could be controlled by anyone whom can control the earth element, but this golem can only be controlled by a pure ice dragon. It shall do anything you tell it to do once you summon it."
Alexis examined the crystal in her paws once again. "All this power at my disposal…"
"Do you know what you shall do with it?" Silas asked, a smile spreading across his face.
She looked him in the eyes, showing him the rage that sat inside of her. "I shall destroy the city of Pyry!"

Morning arrived in the city of Warfang, signaling the beginning of another very busy day for everyone. Eirlys had convinced her parents to allow Tundra to stay with her, which allowed Murghus to go with Glacia to her home. Only an hour after sunrise Flame summoned the other two guardians as well as Murghus and Tundra to the council chambers. Tundra had been begging Statica to allow Eirlys to come, but she would not allow it. "This is a closed meeting." she had said. "Only those needed will be allowed in."
Before Tundra could protest Eirlys placed her paw on his shoulder. "It's alright, I've got other things to do anyways." She told him.
Admitting defeat Tundra said "alright, I'll find you as soon as we are done though."
"Take your time, this meeting will be important."
He nodded and gave her a kiss before walking out of the house with Statica. They met up with Glacia and Murghus in the street and walked to the council chambers, where Flame, Terrador, and Spyro were waiting. Once everyone had arrived Flame announced "everyone take a seat please, we shall begin this meeting immediately." Once everyone sat down Flame continued with "Glacia, the ice queen has agreed to join Warfang, is that correct?"
"It is, Flame. To prove it she sent her second in command guard and her son to legalize the treaty in her absence." Glacia replied.
"Alright then, if they could both step forward please."
Both Murghus and Tundra stood up and walked towards the fire guardian. Glacia had gone over with Murghus what needed to be done the night before in order to enforce the treaty. "I am Murghus, Queen Krystal's second in command guard and a citizen of Pyry. I have been sent to sign any necessary documents in her place to legalize the peace between our cities." He stated.
"Very good, now the prince?"
With a firm confident voice Tundra stated "I am Tundra, son of Queen Krystal, prince to the city of Pyry. I have been sent as well to sign anything that requires me to do so."
"Good, now please step forward and sign this document, Murghus first." Flame told them.
They obeyed the fire guardian's command and walked up to where he sat, looking over the document he presented on the table, making sure nothing was written that could harm the people of either cities in any way. After not finding anything Murghus grabbed the quill with his right paw and signed his name at the bottom of the parchment, underneath where the guardians were meant to sign. He passed it to Tundra, whom signed his name next to Murghus'.
Flame took he document back and walked it over to Glacia for her to sign. Once she had finished he gave it to Statica for her signature. After she finished the last 'a' Terrador stood up and announced "I will sign it in place of Gravel."
"There will be no need for that." A voice from the entrance announced.
Every eye in the room turned towards the source and spotted a dragon hiding in the shadows. He stepped into the light so that everyone could see that it was Gravel. "Gravel! You have awoken!" Statica exclaimed.
:I have, and I am ready to serve my city again!" He replied, making his way to where Terrador was standing. "Thank you master Terrador, for taking my spot during my absence, but I am back now."
"I understand, welcome back master Gravel." Terrador stated before moving out of his spot.
Gravel sat down in the earth guardian seat and looked at Flame. "What do we have right now my friend?" he asked.
"A peace treaty between us and Pyry, the ice kingdom." He answered before handing him the document. "Welcome back Gravel."
"It's good to be back." Gravel said as he signed his name, completing the treaty.
Flame took the parchment back and rolled it up. He handed it to Murghus and said "now it only needs to be delivered to your queen. When will you be leaving?"
"I was thinking about waiting a couple of days. I haven't had much of an opportunity to see much of Warfang yet, and I was planning on attending my own wedding as well." Murghus answered with a smile directed towards Glacia, whom replied with her own smile.
"Very well, as long as she gets that treaty eventually. And with that this meeting is adjourned." Flame announced.
Immediately after that announcement everyone rushed to Gravel. "What happened to you? What made you go into a coma?" Glacia asked.
"My memory of it is still weak, but what I do remember is my own was the one that attacked me." He answered.
"That is what Granite had suspected the entire time." Flame stated. "I cannot believe that Stone would attack you the way he did!"
"Doesn't surprise me much with his past actions." Spyro mumbled.
"I can't imagine how much you hate him." Terrador added.
Gravel shook his head at the last statement. "I do not hate Stone for what he did."
"What?! But he…" Flame began.
"I know what he did! And I am aware of his past actions as well, but he is still my son. He is my own flesh and blood, so I must love him as much as I love myself, if not more. And I will go far enough to say I will forgive him if he ever asks for it."
Every dragon listened with interest at the guardian's words, giving a nod once he finished. "Well said master Gravel." Terrador stated.
"Agreed." Spyro added, thinking about the dilemma he was in with his son as well.
"Now, if you'll excuse me I have a very worried mate I need to reunite with." Gravel said as he stood up and walked out of the building.
Everyone  else left and went in different directions. Terrador went into the market to do his usual browsing of the meat stands. Statica flew home to find that
Eirlys had taken Thunor on a walk. Tundra decided to give Murghus and Glacia some more alone time and searched for Eirlys.

During the meeting Eirlys looked around the city with Thunor running around playfully in search of her friends. She found them all in the gardens near their school with an unfamiliar black dragon with them. As she approached Granite noticed her and ran to her quickly, hugging her tightly. "Eirlys! You're home!" she exclaimed.
"Nice to see you too Granite." She replied, hugging her back.
"Blazelight told me you had returned, but I couldn't believe her until now! Where have you been?!"
"I don't know where to begin! I was… who are you?" Eirlys asked when the black dragon approached.
"My name is Shadow, I am a friend of Blazelight's." he replied.
"He saved me from a bunch of apes that attacked the city." Blazelight added.
"Really? It's nice to meet you." Eirlys said with an extended paw.
After they shook Eirlys went on to tell them everything that had happened to her three years ago. When she had finished Dash asked "so you left us to stay in a city of ice?" After Eirlys nodded in reply he added "well that sure makes us feel great! Being tossed away like yesterday's trash!"
"Dash! She must have had a good reason to have stayed!" Granite snapped at him.
"Oh yeah, what was your reason Eirlys?" he asked her.
With all eyes on her she answered with a blush "because I fell in love."
The stare changed from a curious to a shocked expression the second she had told them that. "No way! Who was it?" Blazelight asked.
"His name is…"
"Eirlys!" somebody shouted from behind her.
She turned and saw that it was none other than Tundra flying towards them. "Tundra!" she shouted. Once he landed she ran up and hugged him. After everyone approached them Eirlys announced "everyone, this is my mate, Prince Tundra!"
"Prince?! You mean to tell us that you are engaged to a prince?!" Granite asked in shock.
"Yes, I am prince Tundra of Pyry." He answered. "Are these the friends you have told me so much about?"
"They are. The green one is Granite and the pink one is Blazelight." Eirlys replied.
"Nice to meet you your majesty!" Blazelight said as she and Granite bowed.
"The pleasure is all mine!" he replied with a bow. He looked up and saw Shadow standing next to Blazelight. "And you are?"
"I am Shadow, a new friend of Eirlys. It's an honor to meet a prince." He answered.
"And it's an honor to meet any friend of my mate."
"And the little firefly is… hey, where is he?" Eirlys asked when she saw that Dash was missing.
They all looked around for Dash but couldn't find him, but Eirlys did see Thunor running around the block. She chased after him with Tundra right next to her and found him jumping into the air, trying to grab the young dragonfly. "Hey! Leave me alone kid!" Dash shouted, only making the little electric dragon laugh more.
"Alright Thunor, that's enough. Leave poor Dash alone." Eirlys told him.
The energetic dragon obeyed and ran back to his sister, still with a playful smile on his face. Dash flew up to her and said "you need to put him on a leash or something! I don't want to get squished before I leave!"
"You're leaving? Why?" Granite asked when she walked up with Blazelight and Shadow.
"M old man wants to get me out of the war, so we are going to my grandparents place. It's a lot safer there they say, but I don't really want to go." He answered.
"Why don't you?" Blazelight asked.
Dash rubbed the back of his head with his hand before saying "because… I don't want to leave my friends behind."
"Aww, that's actually somewhat sweet of you." Granite stated, making everyone but Dash laugh.
"I'm being serious guys! I really don't want to leave! Hanging out with you guys is too much fun!"
"Wow, you are actually being serious!" Blazelight stated. "When does your dad want to leave?"
"As soon as we can, and after we say our goodbyes of course." He answered. "But I'm not going!"
"Dash! You have to go with him!" Eirlys exclaimed.
"Why? So he can ruin my life?" Dash protested.
"No, because he's your father, and he's only thinking of what's best for you and your mom." Eirlys calmly replied.
"And it would be best to meet more of your own kind." Shadow added. "I may be new here but I can easily guess that you will not meet that special someone in a city like this."
"I know, but I don't want to loose all of you guys!"
"And you won't! We will be here when you come back." Granite told him.
The young dragonfly bowed his head in defeat. "Alright, I guess I'll go." He sighed. "So, I guess this is goodbye for awhile."
He flew down to each and every one of them and gave their snout a hug. When he was giving one to Granite he stopped and whispered "give my cousin a hug when he gets home, okay?"
The dragoness nodded and said "I will Dash, I promise."
"Dash! Time to go!" someone shouted from behind him.
He looked back to see his father, Sparx, floating with his mother, Violet. Sitting next to them was Spyro and Cynder, with a basket holding their egg around her neck. "Coming dad!" Dash shouted back.
With one last wave to his dragon friends Dash flew over to his patiently waiting parents. Before leaving Spyro noticed Granite sitting and shouted "Granite, your mother wants you home!"
She nodded in reply and said to her friends "see you guys later!" before running off.
"We should get going too. Thunor must be getting tired." Eirlys stated, looking at her finally tiring little brother. "See you later Blaze, Shadow." She said before walking off with Tundra and Thunor.
"Later guys!" Blazelight exclaimed before walking in the opposite direction with Shadow.

Spyro led the dragonfly family to the wall with Cynder to say their final goodbyes. "You sure you don't want to come visit mom and dad?" Sparx asked his brother.
"I'm sure, I have to be here in Warfang in case anything happens." Spyro replied.
"Alright, but you better make an attempt after that hatches!" he ordered with his finger pointing at their egg. "Mom and dad will go crazy seeing it!"
Spyro and Cynder chuckled, remembering the first time they took Phoenus to the swamp. Nina had pinched his cheeks so much they miraculously became redder than they already were. "We will make an attempt to do so." Cynder promised.
Sparx nodded in reply and hugged the dragoness' snout. He let go and flew to his adopted brother and squeezed his snout tightly. "You take care of yourself, you won't have me to get you out of sticky situations anymore."
The purple dragon held in his laugh, saying "you know me bro, danger is my middle name."
Sparx chuckled and raised his fist for Spyro to lightly bump his. Violet flew forward and stated "we need to go now honey."
"Right. Well, so long you two! Take care of the city!" Sparx said before flying out of the city with his family.
Spyro stayed where he sat, looking at the direction Sparx had flown to in disbelief. After all they had done together he already began to miss him. It wasn't until Cynder spoke that he awoke from his deep thought. "Come on, it's time for lunch."
He nodded in reply and followed her to their home.

Granite opened the door to her house and shouted "mom I'm home!"
Maka smiled and approached her daughter, asking "hello sweetie, did you have fun with your friends?"
"Yes, but it still doesn't feel the same." She answered.
Maka remembered everything Granite had told her about her feelings towards Phoenus. "It will be for awhile, just like when Eirlys went missing. But things always turn out for the best."
"But how can anything that happened be good? Phoenus is gone and dad's still in a…" Granite began, but stopped after hearing her parents bedroom door open to her right. She turned her head and saw her father, Gravel, standing in the doorway. Her eyes went wide with shock at what she saw before her now. It took her several minutes to gather up her thoughts again before she ran over to him and hugged his lowered head. "Dad! You're awake!" she cried.
"I am my child." He replied with his usual calm voice. "I am sorry for scaring you, I was just overwhelmed!"
"It's alright dad, and I'm sorry for scaring you by leaving Warfang, I had something I needed to do."
"It doesn't matter now! You are home safe and sound. To me nothing else matters."
Both earth dragons shed tears of joy as they hugged each other with Maka watching with a smile. She eventually joined into the hugging as well, happy that her family was back together again, mostly.

Glacia paced around her home waiting for Murghus to return from checking on Tundra. He had told her that he would be back soon, but that had been an hour ago. She was not worried about him, but was shaking with anxiety to tell him something. She was laying down in their living room when the door finally opened with Murghus walking in. "Hey Glacia, sorry I took so long." He immediately said.
"Was something wrong?" she asked, now worried that something happened to Tundra.
"There was, but everything's fine now. Tundra was just helping a young dragon named Damian in a fight but it stopped immediately when another electric dragon and I arrived." He answered.
"Ah yes, I know of Damian. He has gotten himself into trouble quite a bit. Is Tundra alright?"
Murghus nodded in reply, saying "he only has a few bumps and bruises, nothing serious."
"That's good." Glacia said with a sigh of relief. She couldn't imagine how the queen would take it if he had gotten seriously hurt on his first visit to Warfang.
The ice guard laid down next to his mate and nuzzled her cheek, but stopped when he felt her shaking. "Glacia, are you alright? You're trembling." He asked.
The dragoness smiled at him before saying "I am perfectly fine, I just have something I am excited to tell you." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before announcing "Murghus, you are going to be a father!"
